Amparo spent 2 weeks in London, UK working with incredible mentors and experts to take our product to the next level. The first-phase of the competition concluded just before the holidays and we're happy to announce we've moved on to the next round!!
Whislt in London, participating in the Enable Makeathon, we were lucky enough to connect and be mentored by Richard Frost. Richard spent 27 years running Motivation, an organization that have distributed there unique wheelchair designs to 120 countries around the world.
With everything we do, we practice empathy in order to truly understand the lives of our stakeholders. In doing so, we partnered up with the Design Thinking School at Hasso Plattner Institute, to create Amp League (our NGO arm), whose focus is offering a solution for amputees in developing countries.
The German Congress of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery is the biggest of its kind in Europe and this year amparo was there discussing our innovative interim prosthetic to empower amputees to get moving after surgery.
